I had made up my mind that if Tinsley re-ran his stupid "There is no conspiracy against the President, Republicans love him too much." crap again for a NINTH STRAIGHT DAY that I would discuss something else. I mean, hey, there's lots of other news to report, like:
But after Republican Senator Frank Murkowski took an all-expenses-paid junket to the islands (courtesy of the island's garment industry) he announced that his Senate committee would hold hearings. I wonder how a good Republican like Murkowski feels about having such a "leftist bent?"
Anyway, that was my plan. And sure enough, today's cartoon is still trying to cover-up GOP attacks against the First Family. But then, mixed-in with my tech briefing from the San Jose Mercury News, I found a story about muck-meister Matt Drudge. Drudge runs an AOL-sponsored internet newsletter (I use the word "news" with hesitation, he has been accused of just reprinting rumours.)
Drudge is being sued because he published a story claiming that one of President Clinton's advisors was a wife-beater (not true). Here's the beauty part, Drudge's lawyers claim it's all a left-wing conspiracy!!!
Don't you just love it? If Hillary Clinton says "I think there's a conspiracy here." Bruce Tinsley and his -duck call her a "Kook." But when a right-wing journalist makes the same claim, all Tinsley can think of is to continue attacking Hillary.
