Thought for the day
April 19, 1999
Yesterday, Ken Starr appeared on ABC's program "This Week" and was quoted by both AP and Reuters as saying "the decision by a Little Rock, Ark., jury to acquit former Clinton business associate Susan McDougal may be linked to the ``horrible'' effects his investigations of President Clinton." Specifically, Ken Starr is quoted as saying:
"I will say this, this has been horrible for Arkansas.''
This comes on the heels of his congressional testimony saying that the Independent Council Act was unconstitutional and attempted to (illegally) create a fourth branch of government.
So how does the Grand Inquisitor rationalize the fact that it is HE who is heading-up this illegal assault on our beloved Constitution? How does he look in the mirror knowing he is to blame for the "horrible effects" of his actions?
Beats me. I'm not a head-shrinker and cannot officially diagnose a person who exhibits a marked "disconnection between thoughts, feelings and actions." But my Oxford dictionary says that's the definition of schizophrenia. One part of Ken still seems to be the honorable man he may have once been. The rest seems to not understand that he is the one doing this to the nation.
