Well well well. What have we here? The Republican "Sparticus" who led them from impotence to a force to be reckoned with in the Congress has self-destructed and been caught committing all the so-called "high crimes and misdemeanors" that he only last year attacked our all too human President for.
Yep, the ol' Newt'er has been "exposed" for the liar and hypocrite that many of us suspected he always was. It turns out he has been having an adulterous affair with a young staffer. I guess those "Ten Commandments" he has posted in his office are as big a joke to him as his wedding vows. What a sick joke to hear someone like Newt Gingrich claim he supports "family values" when he has married and divorced so many times! Then there's the cheating on his wife. We're only now hearing about is infidelity to Marianne. I wonder if he was able to keep it in his pants for his other wives?
Oh, pardon me. Now that Newter has been caught with a young staffer he says it wasn't the President's sexual relationship that sent him into a tizzy. It was the lying. You see, Newt claims he's "never" lied about cheating on his wife and breaking his word to god. Gee Newt, you NEVER lied to your wife, staff or constituents about being an adulterer? Forgive me if I have a hard time believing you.
Whatever. Newt's just another human. I'm not really disappointed in him for being one. I just deplore his hypocrisy. The way he (and some other lying, cheating, philandering scoundrels) went after Bill Clinton seemed like the anger of the righteous. There's one book that I hear they haven't been burning down there in Georgia. I think it's called "the Bible" or something. Maybe Newt should see if anyone down there can lend him a copy. There's a lot of stuff in there by this "guy" about people in glass houses and forgiveness and keeping promises (including the promise he made when he married his wife.) But that's all Newt's problem. Just remember Newt Gingrich the next time a Republicanmentions "family values."
