Well, well, well. What a greedy, self-serving action we have today! Failed presidential candidate Bob Smith just can't pass-up the chance to chair the Senate's Environmental committee.
After leaving the GOP a few months ago by telling the world that the Republican party "platform is not worth the paper it's written on." Sweet 'ol Bob (or SOB for short) decided that he was EXACTLY the sort of man who should be leading such a worthless party.
The Republicans hungrily welcomed the turn-coat back into the fold. They have too slim a majority to allow honesty, integrity or morals to be used as a litmus test for membership. Hey, the way Pat Buchanan is trying to rewrite WWII history, perhaps there could be openings for Hitler or Hirohito too.
For a party with an elephant for a mascot, they sure have short memories! We can only hope that some bio-tech company finds a cure for Alzheimer's AND soon!!!
