Mr. Squirrel, Mr. Squirrel
High up where you twirl
Mr. Squirrel, why don't you
stop and eat the nut and
rest the whole day through?

Sun shines on the oak tree
where my squirrel lives
and what he gives to me
is a chuckle on my face
and where he gives it
is one good place.
