Another Vote for Clinton

I never believed that Hillary Clinton intended to run for President. I didn’t think a woman could win, and that she would never risk turning our country over to another (expletives deleted) Republican. But when I read that she had publically announced, I felt relieved and excited.

It took me about five minutes after reading her announcement to realize that not only do I think she can win, but that she will renew the strength and hope of the Democratic Party.

At Sunday Brunch, Ditto-head relatives tried to make jokes of Bill Clinton taking the role of First Lady. The conversation sobered up immediately when I said that he would probably be put in charge of foreign affairs. Apparently they hadn’t considered that he would have a place in the government. They were so stunned that they forgot to make the obvious joke about ‘foreign affairs’.

And that is the reason that Hillary will win. She was part of Bill’s team, and he will be part of hers. And after what the neo-cons have done to our country, we need all the help we can get.
