Chasing Butterflies

I am dismayed to admit that I have been too busy to write much these last few weeks. It seems like every time I get my thoughts together there's something more pressing that must be done. Yesterday it was chasing Ryanne through the sprinkler. The day before we had to eat blueberries, raspberries and cream after a treasure hunt. On Tuesday I used all my energy chasing butterflies at Berthusen Park. And of course a week can't go by without swimming. If it isn't one thing, it's another.

I will keep thinking about how much I would prefer to be writing. I know those words won't arrange themselves into sentences. But for now, I have to go outside and watch the leaves sway in the wind.

I hope you all are having a wonderful summer too.
