Incommunicado

Nobody, meaning both Tom and I, are able to reach Mom by phone. Is she outside sitting in the sun from morning to night? Is her phone dead, uncharged or lost? Why does her cell go straight to voice mail? Did she forget to turn it on when she got off the plane two weeks ago?

No one knows. I'll try e-mail, which she never looks at, but it is going to come down to the old fashioned snail mail. I'll send a letter today. So there is one function the post office is still good for.
