Chips were raked back to allow for logs to be lain and anchored into
the ground. Hundreds of students used the trail annually and there was
danger during inclement weather of their slipping down a ten-foot bank. |
|
Naomi tied a rope to the upright poles that were sunk into the soil
about two feet to hold the logs in place. A permanent rail would be
added by the next Elderhostel group. |
