Back on March 30, I received some racist hate mail and wrote a brief reply. Our editor also wrote a reply, albeit a less charitable one. But considering the rancorous, misspelled, poorly worded and incoherent message that we received, I guess you could say that the editor's response was "more in the spirit" of the original author.
Dear John Somogyi,
You are a stupid shit. I have read and reread your letter and can find
no point to it. Except, maybe that you are trying to bully and intimidate
some one with a different point of view on life. Or, is it that you are
just trying to impress your girlfriend? You in no way addressed the topic
or "meat" of the story you commented on. If you are "connected" I would
guess it is to an IV of Methamphetamine. As far as your "Burning God" you
Europeans have for five hundred years been killing Native Americans and
your condescending "Children of the Forest" attitude is just plain racist.
I would like to see things from your point of view, but I just can't get my
head that far up my ass.
